Background and context

Regulators help in deciding the fate of a cell by deciding whether the cell will undergo cell division or not. The balance between the positive and the negative regulators is important to keep the process of cell division under control. Regulators are mostly proteins and therefore mutations or some drugs can affect the regulation of the cell cycle.
