Can someone help me with genetics question
Familial adenomatous polyposis (FAP) is a dominant genetically inherited disorder. It causes large numbers of polyps to form in the colon, which, left untreated, may become cancerous. Researchers used a large pedigree dataset to determine that among a total population of 2,000,000 in Denmark, there were 39 cases of FAP due to new (non-inherited) mutations. These 39 individuals with FAP had a total of 75 children; a normal (non-FAP) cohort of 39 individuals would be expected to have 86 children. Given this information, what is the equilibrium frequency of the disease-causing allele? Recall that: q = Squareroot mu/s Show transcribed image text
