S3 may be heard with l-hf, mitral valve regurgitation (ventricular gallop) S4 may be heard with cad, cardiomyopathy, lv hypertrophy, aortic stenosis (atrial gallop) Cardiac cath- insert catheter into heart via vein (r side) and/or artery (l side). Done to evaluate chest pain and obtain info about aorta, inferior vena cava, pulmonary artery and veins. Contrast dye is used to see structures/ motion in the heart. Coronary angiography- l-sided heart catheterization with contrast medium into arteries. Hypertension (7) assessment, modifiable vs nonmodifiable risk factors, teaching, dietary, exercise, compliance, primary vs secondary htn. Coronary artery disease (4) diagnostics, risk factors, patient teaching, nursing interventions.
