Skype = synchronous, texting = asynchronous or synchronous. Subject line brief and useful, inform purpose of message. Greeting begin with dear, hi, hello, or name; best to be formal. Message main point of message in opening sentence. Limit length to 2 or 3 short paragraphs if possible.
