Tip: ruthlessly cut your material to avoid rambling. 3 factors should guide you: background and knowledge, interests of your audience, occasion of the speech. Consider a traditional format (intro, body, conclusion) for your presentations and essays. Techniques: human interest story(narrative), opening his lecture with the presidential debate, use humor that speaks to the idea/topic, quotations & questions, Organize the material like u would of a report. 3 elements: restatement of the subject, summary of the key points developed in the presentation, statement of conclusion representing the main message. Use strong, clear language (have no doubt) Make the conclusion the high point of the paper. Do not try to plan your gestures ahead of time. Bring natural gestures you already use into your business speaking.
