Document Summary

10% of deaths are caused by invasise, but 90% of deaths are by metastases. Epithelial cells and nerve cells are polarized cells. All sorts of other cells can be polar, these are 2 examples. The green side receives signals, the pink end sends signals. Polar cells will have different proteins on their ends. There will be different proteins on different sides. If we are going to make a cell polar, we have to send different things to each side. Red is going forward, blud is backwards, green is endocytosis. Routes, sorting stations, retrieval mechanisms and general balance among routes. For polarized trafficking routes, they have a start and stop point. Sorting stations are things like the trans goli network which is where we send things to the endosome or the outside of the cel, anther sorting station is an early endosome. Retrieval mechanisms and general balance among routes is where we can go both ways.
