People are susceptible to frames (being exposed to different frames makes people come to different conclusions) You don"t necessarily realize that framing has an effect on you. Journalists for the most part aren"t trying to give this effect on purpose. E. g. the war on terror frame was the dominant frame post 9/11 in the us. We all have different levels of susceptibility to frames. When you connect the frame in question to the issue at hand. You actually have to think of it on your own. Frame cannot affect you if you think it is wrong (emotionally, morally etc. ) Usually, journalists have to rely on their sources to get inspiration for framing. E. g. orlando shooting was framed in different ways. Hate crime, domestic terrorism, here is why we need strict gun control etc. Relay what the politicians / elites say to the general public. News story will be presented to us either way.
