All of the rampage shooters are boys. This is no accident, for in addition to failing at adolescence, they were (at least in their own eyes) failing at manhood. For high-school boys (that cannot be body builders to express their manhood) the closest thing is sports. Girls play key role by serving as trophies that validate a boy"s sexual appeal. Bullying violent way that boys try to demonstrate their masculinity. It makes it possible for powerful students to call attention to their superiority on grounds that favor them.
