Incas the incas were getting started in south american while the aztecs were ruling north. America the inca origin myth , what incas believe what actually happened. Manco 1190 lived on a tiny island in the middle of a lake. Was no ordinary guy, was the son of the sun. Manco was visited by his father, the sun, the sun says you must leave your tiny island and go find a new home. The sun said manco would know when he found a spot because he would see a sign. Sun gives manco a gold staff, if the staff when into the ground with no resistance, that would be the sign. If he does this, his descendants would establish a great empire. Manco pack up and start wondering northwest until he finds the place that was preordained by the gods. So manco stops wandering and begins to build a new city which he called cuzco.
