Proposal should be easy to read, easy to follow, easy to understand, clearly organized, and brief. Simplest and most logical way to write the proposal is in the same order that a research study is conducted. Describe, in general terms, what it is that is going to be studied. Convince the proposal reviewers that the general problem area is a good one to study: accomplished by outlining the significance of the study in different social work areas (practical, theoretical, and social policy) Describes what is going to be studied and why it should be studied. Show how your study will fit into the whole jigsaw puzzle of research. List enough material to show that you"re thoroughly familiar with the topic area, but not enough to induce stupor in the reviewer. Include findings from recent studies as well as classic ones.
