They need to differentiate their teaching so that all students can be challenged and succeed. Giving harder assignments to those more advanced. They need to figure out which students are struggling and which are not being challenged. Students must be engaged and actively learning. Students explore content based on their personal interests. Students demonstrated their knowledge and skills in multiple ways, not just a test. Allow them to express or demonstrate their learning. Traditional teaching practices limit the way students can express their learning. A udl teacher would allow students to show their knowledge in multiple ways such as a test, essay, presentation, demonstration. Textbooks are barriers for those who cannot see, or those who find the reading challenging. Lectures are barriers for students who cannot hear, they also must be able to multitask listen and take notes. Learning goal must be the same for all students even. Though they use different medias to get there.
