Office hours: mwf 1:00-2:00 pm or by appt. This course will give you an introductory look into all things sociology. Sociology is the study of human interaction within society. We will learn a variety of things from the basic theory and research methods used in the discipline to topics such as crime and deviance, religion, social networks, stratification, education, and marriage and family. You are required to have all assigned readings read before class, as this will facilitate class discussions. If this is the case i will let you know before the reading is due and it will be posted on moodle in plenty of time for you to read it. I will use moodle in this class to post grades as well as any extra readings. I encourage you to make a habit of checking your lsu email for any last minute announcements i may need to make.
