We feel comfortable with our feelings for that person. 1- role limited interaction: when we first meet someone and there is some kind of attraction that motivates us to build a relationship. 2- friendly relations: we focus on finding common interests. Trying to identify if we can build a friendship. 3- moving toward friendship: we begin to see self-disclosure. 4- nascent friendship: we start to think of ourselves as friends. 6- waning: the friendship drifts away and comes apart. Passion: intensely positive feelings we have towards another person. Commitment: we want the relationship to continue for us in the future intimacy: feeling of closeness we have with another person. 1- individuals- if you want a relationship, you have to know who you are and what you want. 2- invitational communication: the beginning of a relationship. the first of the initial communication.
