This course provides a survey of some of the major religious traditions originating in asia, Grading (**subject to change, see moodle for updates) 10% classwork (pop quizzes on reading, group discussion. Many class sessions will include classwork or pop quizzes on the assigned reading. I will call on students to answer basic questions about the reading, and the responses will be used to determine the participation grade. A perfect participation grade is not possible without regularly answering questions posed to the class and contributing to class discussion. You may find it useful to bring your textbook with you to class most days. During class time, all electronic devices must be kept silent and out of sight. In case of absence, be sure to check moodle for any announcements or assignments and contact another student in the course for missed material (do not email me for this information).
