Moderately person-centered-comforting messages afford & an implicit recognition of feelings by attempting to distract attention from the troubling situation, offering expressions of sympathy or presenting nonfeeling-centered explanations of the situation. & identity: psychological knowledge: unique, personal attribute, such as beliefs, attitudes, & values, interactional perspective, 5 assumptions, one cannot not communicate.
