Validity may weaken with globalization; homogenization of cultures with international corporations, increased mobility, goods, information, etc. Globalization countering with powerful forces of regionalism, place identity, and ethnicity; more of a combination of multiple territorial cultures rather than a standardized uniformity. Socio/technical revolutions originated in neolithic period; spatially confined, but diffused as people selectively adopted their creations.
