8 views2 pages

Document Summary

Saying you grow up and realize you are on your own and now it does not feel natural. Not specifically an existentialist but is grouped with them. Confusion between meaning and worth of life > thinks they are separate. People have played on words . measure between these two judgments . Does not tell us how to live or understand worth. Does life"s absurdity require one to escape . disinterested mind . The divorce between man and his life, the actor and his setting, is properly the feeling of absurdity . Stripped of one"s setting one is utterly alone in the universe, with oneself, with no script to tell us what to do or say, with nothing to indicate what the acts and scenes of out life even mean. 2 constituents: fundamental to the absurdity of existence: the (reasonable) human call for understanding, the (unreasonable) silence of the world.
