Provides a freedom of response that facilitates assessing higher cognitive behaviors: Although subjective, the scorer awards points based on how closely the test taker"s response matches a predetermined correct response. Uses highly ambiguous stimuli to elicit an unstructured response. Require test takers to demonstrate their skills and abilities to perform a group of behaviors and tasks. Setting is made as similar as possible to the setting they would actually be performed.
