The man who mistook his wife for a hat. Failed to see faces but saw faces when there were no faces to see. He would face someone with his ears, not with his eyes. Failed at seeing whole, saw only details. He mistakened his wife for a hat. His wife was used to it (lol) Abstract shape presented no problems for him. It"s possible his difficulties were associated with unreality of a celluloid. Didn"t recognize them but recognized einstein cause he picked up characteristic hair and moustache. He approached faces as if they were abstract puzzles or tests. For dr p there was no person in this sense - no outward persona - and no person within. He was lost in a world of lifeless abstractions. He didn"t have a real visual world, as he didn"t have a real visual self. He could speak about things, but didn"t see them face to face.
