Bloggers say they are open and interactive on this format, which is considered blogs greatest attribute. This is what separates the traditional journalist from the participatory journalist. A blogger doesn"t need to be accountable because in the end, they serve themselves, not the public. Bloggers force journalists to be accountable because they fact-check and decry journalistic tendencies of arrogance and aloofness. Bloggers tend to be more partisan because they freely express their opinions. Bloggers are only one part of the visual parts of the trend to overtly partisan media types. As time and space for news has gone from limited to unlimited, executives in media has realized the power in commenting on old information and how much cheaper it can be than getting new information.
