Define abnormal behaviour use 5 criteria: statistically rare, distress (to self or others, dysfunction, deviance (from social norms, danger (increases risk to self or others) And if the severe fear happens on every date, your emotions are not functioning properly. Impairment also occurs but is not entirely true: eg- being so shy you avoid interaction even though you want to have friends then your social functioning is impaired.
