The best way to convince people if something is good is associate it with something good: like tv commercials. If the message offers convincing argument then your thoughts will be more favorable and will most likely be persuaded (cid:498)cognitive response(cid:499) Central route to persuasion occurs when interested people focus on the arguments and respond with favourable thoughts: if the msg is weak argument = people will counter-argue. Who is saying the msg affects how the audience receives it. Credibility- a credible communicator is perceived as both expert and trustworthy: sleeper effect- a delay impact of a message, occurs when we remember the message but forget a reason for discounting it, perceived expertise. Reason vs. emotion: depends on the audience.
