Document Summary
Psychology is the most fascinating concept in the world. Human life is but a nanosecond in the great world. Home and community environments shape us by determining our views, ideas, Psychology: is a science that seeks to answer questions about how we think, feel, and act as we do. Science is referred to as society"s garbage collector . Theories, ideas, and fantasies are poorly treated until proven. Scientific attitude: the ability to separate reality from fantasy, sense from nonsense, skeptical but not cynical, and open but not gullible. Not my or your opinion, but truths revealed. Critical thinking (smart thinking): examines assumptions, checks the source and for any bias while evaluating evidence and assessing conclusions. When informed by science clears doubt (bias) 3 basic attitudes shaping modern science: curiosity: does something work and can it be put to the test, skepticism: a healthy skepticism separates fantasy from reality, humility: must be surprised at new ideas and understand that mistakes happen.
