Value-percept theory job satisfaction depends on whether you perceive that your job supplies the things that you value: equality: dissatisfaction = (vwant vhave) x (vimportance) Vwant = how much of a value an employee wants. Vhave = how much of that value the job supplies. Vimportance = how important the value is to the employee. Wants vs. haves creates a sense of dissatisfaction (esp when value in q is important) Looks @ specific facets of the jobs (job = collection of tasks, relationships & rewards) Employees" feeling about their pay (e. g. as much as they deserve, secure, & adequate for both normal expenses & luxury items) How we perceive our pay to be (mostly satisfied) The company"s promo policies & their execution (e. g. whether promo are frequent, fair, based on ability) Some employees may not want frequent promo b/x promo bring more resp & work hours.
