Can be based on age, ethnicity, race gender ect. : subgroups based on lifestyles or aesthetic preference. The era in which you group up bonds you with millions of others who have done the same. This bond can have an impact on consumer trends as well for example concert and nostalgia items. Economy: many are stuck in economic purgatory, overeducated but underemployed and justify this by coupons and roommates: globalization: milenials are eager to experience other cultures, but do this in different ways. Those who are underemployed are less invested in their jobs are more likely to quit and travel and those that are on their desired career path settle for being foodies. Social media: constantly open to public observation because ever new post or status reveals something about themselves. (1) exuberents : actively post all the time (2) collectors: absorb others experiences postively.
