Transgender is an adjective not a noun (ex, ** Gender dysphoria (replaces gender identity disorder) is when a person experience discomfort or distress because they feel a mismatch b/n their biological sex/gender identity. The medicalization of this term is contentious, however having a psychiatric evaluation is necessary for health insurance (us).
