Factors other than intellectual ability are involved in intelligent behaviour. Wechsler adult intelligence scale, fourth edition (wais-iv) Wechsler intelligence scale for children, fourth edition (wsic-iv) Wechsler preschool and primary scale of intelligence, third edition (wppsi-iii) His test took non-intellective factors into account, but did not measure them directly. He deviated considerably from binet"s scale"s central concepts. Binet"s scales were selected for children, so wechsler questioned their validity when answered by adults. Binet"s scale"s emphasized speed, which handicaps older adults. Mental age norms did not apply to adults. Binet scale did not consider that intellectual performance can deteriorate with age. Wechsler used the point scale concept rather than an age scale. Wechsler included a non verbal performance scale. Point scale - credits or points are assigned to each item.
