Ultradian rhythm occur as frequent biological rhytms. Light is the primary stimulus regarding the human circadian rhythm. Melatonin peaks in high at nighttime and is reduced during wakefulness; for blind people, they should be given melatonin (since light doesn"t affect them) during the evening when people are about to go to sleep. Entrainment: when biological rhythms become synchronized to external cues such as light, temperature or even a clock. Endogenous rhythms: biological rhythms that are generated by our body independent of external cues such as light. In teens and 20s, they prefer to work, study and play in later times of the day.
