Waking acivity = eyes open but unfocused; arms/legs move in uncoordinated bursts. Western parents lit baby to the shoulder + walk or gently rock the baby; will also sing lullabies, pat baby"s back or give baby a paciier; put baby in car seat and go for a drive.
