People only had enough raionality to come together to form governments to selishly protect themselves. People then only agreed and obeyed with the government not because they believed in it, but because they feared being punished. Use raionality to derive the ideal society and true values. Freedom is a mode of power: power is given to us through sensaion as well as through relecion. The principle of freedom is located in thought. To be free is to think and act according to one"s own judgement.
