Selecion determining which informaion we will pay atenion to. Organizaion arranging informaion in a meaningful way using perceptual schema. Interpretaion making sense of percepions within our own minds. Negoiaion the process by which communicators inluence one another"s percepions. Physiological inluences examples: age, health, faigue, hunger, and biological cycles. Psychological inluences examples: mood, and self context. Social inluences examples: sex and gender roles, and occupaional roles. Cultural inluences examples: distribuion of power, uncertainty avoidance, and social obligaions. We judge ourselves more charitably than we do others people tend to say things about others like. He/she is not paying atenion to anything. and about ourselves, we say the context was unclear so i didn"t understand or there was too much going on around me. We are inluenced by our expectaions if you are told you are going to be geing a git later today and are expecing something great, you may be happy leading up to the event.
