Safety glasses, and safety glasses made to go over them, safety goggles (lose performance marks for 2nd year and lab report penalties for 3rd year) Raise sashe during set up but lowered to black arrow during use (chemicals, separatory funnel work ups, and chemical storage) When transferring chemicals, cover the top with your hand and place into fume hood right away. If thermometer breaks, get ta/instructor and dispose into mercury waste container. Lab coats buttoned and rolled down, closed toe shoes, pants. Dual eyewash station at benches 1 and 6 at the lab, 15 min wash. Chemical fire: get ta/instructor for fire extinguisher (remove plastic seal, pull pin and trigger) Fire blanket at front of lab, wrap and drop if caught on fire. Twist rubber/tubing and gently pull for glassware (buchner funnel, drying tube)
