Modelling: procedure by which a sample of a given behaviour is demonstrated to an individual to induce that individual to engage in a similar behaviour. History of reinforcement and punishment for imitating others is an important factor. Most likely to imitate those who are similar to them in various ways. Arrange for modelled behaviour to be seen to be effective. Arrange for learner to observe the model emit the desired behaviour and receive reinforcement. Number of people modelling a particular behaviour is a factor in determining whether that behaviour will be imitated. Behavioural rehearsal or role playing: client rehearses particular behaviours (plays a role) in a practice setting to increase the likelihood that the client will follow those behaviours appropriately in the real world. Physical guidance: application of physical contact to induce an individual to go through the motions of a desired behaviour (ex. a dance instructor)
