Environmental consultant: used stratified random sampling protocols for streams to gather water samples & fish, bird data came from breeding bird surveys conducted within random sample points on transects within the woodlots. Environmentalist: community made list of birds seen at bird feeders & along trails in mrw & Mpw: stayed away from ofw b/c of giant hog weed. Conservation officer: data from current & past surveys of vegetation, mammals & birds of each woodlot, also additional records from bbs, & ansi (which includes cosewic) Developer: will develop appropriate sustainable management & restoration plans in coordination with city & local citizens, begin with survey of local communities that will provide a list of concerns & suggestions. Abiotic variables: non-living physical & chemical factors that affect the ability of organisms to survive & reproduce. Includes inert factors of ecosystem such as light, temperature, chemical products, water & atmosphere.
