Bronislaw malinowski and margret mead were 2 of the earliest anthropologists to study humans as sexual beings. There was no anthropology of sexuality before the late 1970"s ; it was taboo subject. Difficult to understand to to the privatization of human sexuality & anthros. Sexuality is outside of the norm of a culture. Both virtual (internet) and cross culture studies have become more common since 1980"s. Jeffery weeks contends- diversification of sexual practices, subcultures ad identities is characteristics of our history to define human sexuality would require many definitions as experiences. Human sexuality is rooted in our biological nature, it is also a cultural construct our sexuality has been formed partly by culture environment and differs from other cultures. Homosexuality: sexual attraction to (or sexual relation) with person of same sex. This is interesting example of culture change not so much behavioral aspects of culture, but certainly the ideas and attitudes that invoke behavior.
