The subject matter of the philosophical science of right = the idea of right: the idea of right is figuring out what right and its actualization consist of. The actuality of right is based on the abstract determination / understanding of it. Everything other than this actuality finds itself in: external contingencies, opinions, appearances, deceptions, etc. But in the positive science of right, the chief concern is the necessity of a concept through proof and deduction rather than definition. A bad substitute for representation is substituting inferences, proofs, etc with emotions and our own enthusiasm: proofs and other things show us the true form of the concept, whereas the other leaves us with arbitrary knowledge. Right is positive" through its form of having validity in particular states: this acquires a positive element through contextual developments.
