Defining culture: a societies personality, objects services and ideas that a society produces and or values. A societies culture can be defined by its values, ethics, rituals, and traditions, it is everywhere, it is learned and ever changing. It provides boundaries on right and wrong and acceptable behaviours. Ecology: how systems adapt to their habits (resources, technology, use of space, cleanliness, attitude toward nature) Social structure: politics, domestic arrangements (family structure, value of youth and age) Ideology: common worldview and way of thinking (right wrong, beauty, social conventions, customs and traditions) guides judgment, tastes and behaviours. Low ua: change, risk taking, problem solving, secular. Low m: egalitarian, less strongly enforced behaviour codes. High m: women at home, men at work, women other-oriented & men self-oriented. Low pd: looser hierarchy, informal manners, classless society, achievement. Low i: interdependent, cooperative, uniformity, abstinence, postponed pleasures.
