Work-flow design: process of analyzing the tasks necessary for the product or service. Organization structure: refers to the relatively stable and formal network of vertical and horizontal interconnections among jobs that constitute the organization. Job analysis: refers to the process of getting detailed information about jobs. Two products come out of the ja process: Job description (tdr"s): a list of the tasks, duties, and responsibilities that a job entails. Job analysis interview: highly accessible, qualitative approach: conducted using a ja questionnaire to provide consistency in the type of data collection, observation and self-reports: information extracted from ja interviews, ex. Diary entries or work logs: online databases: creating job descriptions and specificatins from data collected through interviews, national occupational classification (noc): a database that organizes the work canadians do. Useful because it integrates occupational stats concerning market information: o*net, position analysis questionnaire (paq): a quantitative standardized job analysis questionnaire containing 194 items.
