Thyroid : produce thyroxine t4 & triiodothyronine t3, around trachea endocrine gland, Lymphatic : drain back into vascular syst. , you have to know where its drainning from ** blocage will be distal from the swelling direction of swelling** Symmetrical (face, size and shape & palpebral fissure of the eyes, nasolabial folds) Unifor color, no edema, mobility and strength of facial muscles (facial expression) *abnormal : hydrocephalus, acromegaly (half of face drop), downs syndrome facies, fetal alcohol syndrome facies, cushing syndrome, parkinson"s syndrome, bell"s palsy(cranial nerve vii paralysis, unilateral) vs stroke (parlysis of lower facial muscles) Perrla (pupil, equal, rounds, reactive to light, accomodation) Myopia (correctable), amblyopia (uncorrectable), hyperopia (near vision, not aging)
