Objectives: to promote skill acquisition, to enhance skill performance, to reduce or eliminate competing problem behaviors, to facilitate generalization and maintenance of social skills (cook et al. , 2008) Teachers need to: determine what social skills students are deficient in before they can design specific interventions to teach or increase those skills, this is perceived as too difficult/time consuming.
