Confederate system- power to govern lies within the sub governments (states) Miranda v. arizona- law enforcement has an obligation to inform people of their constitutional rights (5th amendment) Miranda was a suspect in a rape case. Miranda writes a confession saying he is guilty. Supreme court states that law enforcement must say their miranda rights when one is arrested.
