Basically wrongly attributing the reason why someone did something. We attribute other peoples actions to them being a bad person but when we do something bad we attribute it circumstances. Correlational: just seeing if there"s a relationship between 2 things. Something makes us take a look at ourselves and we compare our behavior to our values and standards. If we don"t like what we find we terminate the self awareness or change behavior. If we don"t know how we feel about something, we observe our behavior and decide from that. We think about behavior (i ate lunch 2/3 days this week) and then we think about the situation (there were lots of people around me Upward comparison- comparing ourselves to someone better than us at.
