Document Summary

Chem 001c is the third course in a three-quarter sequence for general chemistry. The topics covered include: ch 13 (chemical equilibrium); ch 14&15 (acid/base equilibria, buffers/titrations, solubility equilibria); ch 19 (coordination chemistry and solid state. Chemistry); ch 17 (electrochemistry); ch 21 (nuclear chemistry). The specific learning goals for each chapter are listed in the chapter outlines. The chapter outlines are available on the blackboard site. Chem 001c has three hours of lecture and one 50 minute discussion session each week. You also have one 3-hour lab each week, and the lecture and laboratory portions of the course are coordinated as much as possible. The lab counts as a separate grade, and will not be considered in your lecture grade. Contact dr. kevin simpson if you have questions regarding the chem 001c lab. Your weekly discussion group session will be facilitated by a graduate student ta.
