Document Summary

According to paul in the tedtalk, what we learn before we"re born, learning begins before birth while fetuses are still in the womb. Fetal origins is the theory that our health and well-being throughout our lives is affected from the nine months that we spend in utero . Babies when they are born are already shaped by the actions of the mother and the environment that surround them. The first thing babies learn in utero is the sound of their mother"s voice. The mother"s voice does not have to go through the layers of the mother"s abdominal tissue. Reverberates through her body and reaches the fetus in a much more accessible fashion than any outside voice ever would. Since the fetus is always with the mother, for obvious reasons, the fetus always hears the mother"s voice and therefore becomes very familiar with her sound.
