Internal environment to external environment: examples, respiratory system (02 / co2, digestive system (nutrients / h20, urinary system (excretion / h20, circulatory system (distribution) Fluid within cells is called intracellular fluid. (icf) Fluid outside of cells called extracellular fluid. (ecf) If the cells is within a mm of a surface, the cell can just exchange across the surface.
