2: in this group there is beginning of the last big evolutionary lines of all the animals, the deuterostome lineage has all the same criteria for success attributed to the protostomes. The chordates make a complete change from a marine environment to a terrestrial environment. Many of which return back to the marine environment. They are one of the only groups that inhabit all 3: the deuterostome environments. Deals with the fate of the blastopore that drives the division. This occurs sporadically in the protostome lineage. However it is a unifying characteristic in the deuterostomes and when it does occur it gives a tripartite coelom with 3 coelomic spaces: tripartite coelom. Along the length of the gut a bleb is formed and it becomes mesoderm. 6: not really a part of the deuterostome lineages but is seen at the base of the group.
