Laboratory #4 - observation of the various mitosis phases in vicia faba, allium cepa, and coregonus clupeaformis. After performing the lab, it was evident that the species had a similar amount of time spent in each phase. In the interphase stage, it was the most stage where most of the cells spent their time; for the combined class average, the percentage of cells was around 79% and 82-85% for the personal data. In prophase, it was the second largest stage where cells spent their time where 9-15% of the class data cells and 8-13% of the personal data cells. In metaphase, anaphase, and telophase, the class data cells spent around 3-5% of their time in those phases whereas, in the personal data, it was around. Based on the personal data, prophase is the most stage where the cells spend; Vicia faba cells spend 82. 3%, allium cepa cells spend 90%, and coregonus clupeaformis cells spend 85. 4%.
