Acoelomate: this organisms have no cavity separating the gut from the muscles of the body, nstaed they just have a solid mass of cells between the gut and the muscles. Assymetric body plan: the lack of symmetry in some organisms, they never produce identical hlaves when cut in any way, eg sponges. Bilateral symmetry: when the body can be divided into 2 identical halves along one plane only, they are characterized by a movement in which only one head of the body leads. Blastopore: an opening in the archenteron which eventually becomes either a mouth or an anus, in protostomes it becomes a mouth in deuterostomes it becomes an anus.
