New quebec government - discussion of banning workers in public sector from wearing ostentatious religious symbols. Aims: holistic understanding, understanding religion not as the soul driving force of people"s lives but as part of a broad picture, understanding through informants categories. Ethnography: written documentation of a culture. Religion is about a set of conditions that establish order and meaning in the world this allows us to think of religion in the context of other social practices.
