Only commitment=empty love: decision to love each other without intimacy or passion. Intimacy and passion= romantic love: physical and emotional attraction without long-term commitment. Passion and commitment=fatuous love: shallow relationship- commitment based on passion but lacking emotional intimacy. Intimacy and commitment=companionate love: long-term committed friendship, e. g. long-term marriage in which passion has faded.
